31DC2013 Day 27 Inspired By Artwork: Monet Houses of Parliament

Hey guys!  Its day 27 in the challenge and its themed 'inspired by artwork'!  This one was kind of hard for me.  I wasn't really sure what I was going to do.  Though, I have always like the famous painter, Monet.  His brush stroke, beautiful paintings are breathtaking.  While I was google-ing him, I found out he has a series of paintings, called the Houses of Parliament.  Basically, during Monet's stay in London, he painting the same scene from his window just at different times of day.

My favorite of the Houses of Parliament is the design of the Sun breaking through the fog.  It has a more brushstroke look than the others, but I love the dark with the light of the sun breaking through.  I used Zoya Dove for a base and for the design I used Zoya Kelly, Zoya Jancyn, OPI Casino Royale, OPI Black Onyx and Bondi Brick Road.  I loved the outcome of these.  I think they give it some kind of justice?  Haha maybe.

How do you guys like this?  Is anyone familiar with the painting?
