Lac Attack: Felix Felicis

Ok, continuing on with our Magical Musings two week event, today is Felix Felicis!

Felix Felicis, also known as 'Liquid Luck' first made its debut in the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.  This is named after a very special and rare potion.  It grants great luck to the drinker in anything they try to accomplish and its molten gold in color.  It is meant to be used rarely, though.  In the case of drinking too much the side effects, giddiness, recklessness and overconfidence will appear.  This potion is only meant for experience potion makers, as it is very difficult to make, and should only be made in small batches.  Getting it wrong will result disastrous consequences.  Harry won a small bottle of Felix during a little competition in his potion's class taught by Professor Slughorn.  He used it to extract information about Lord Voldemort from the Professor later in the book, also giving some to his friends to split during a small battle at Hogwarts against some Death Eaters (Voldemort's followers).  He also used it to trick best friend, Ron Weasley into confidence for a sporting event, Quidditch, though never actually using any on Ron.

The polish, Felix Felicis, is lovely!  A shimmery, glittery gold masterpiece!  There are gold hexes, gold shimmer and gold iridescent flakes, as well.  It looks one hundred times better on the nail that in the bottle.
I used one coat of Felix Felicis over two coats of Zoya Purity.  The white doesn't show the flakes as much as a dark polish would, but I wanted to try it over something different that what's out there!  I love that these glitter's bases aren't too thick.  I hate it when I get a gorgeous glitter that's unmanageable due to base issues.  This one however went on smooth without needing to fish for glitter.  A win in my book!

As usual, you can find Felix Felicis over at Lac Attack's shop.  What do you guys think of this one?  Like or or no?  I love the story of Felix along with it's polish counterpart!  Another one at the top of my list.
